Does ANYBODY remember what the hell we were thinking when we all went boner city for this nonsense?
Yes. We were thinking about Konfabulator, which was very damn cool, and ran on your desktop. Then it looked like Apple was stealing their thunder, Yahoo bought them, and I don’t know where they went to, but they sure left in a spiffy handbasket.
Also, when you can call up any app by Spotlight (or Quicksilver) who cares if you have widgets running one (awkward) key press away?
Anyway, thanks for the reminder, Ross. I’m going to reclaim one icon’s worth of space on my dock now….
