Sometimes, bad things happen. Like, say. a FedEx driver delivers your package to the wrong condo.
After I called in my complaint about it, the Phoenix office called me back in a couple of hours. They said the driver had already gone home for the day, but they’d send him out tomorrow to investigate. Well, he never came by here, but apparently, he did go to where the package was actually delivered.
Today, a different FedEx driver brought it to my door, apologized, and waited for me to inspect the contents, since it had been opened by the people to whom it was delivered. Happily, the inner box was still sealed in plastic. He went on his way, and I went to update my post.
No sooner had I posted my edits when my phone rings. FedEx customer service, also apologizing. :)
Meanwhile, since I hadn’t heard from them yesterday, I sent off a complaint to Amazon.com, telling them how I unhappy I was and that I was canceling another preorder because of it.
So, I check my email just now, and Amazon has already sent out a replacement at no charge. I’ll be sending that one right back. But man, *that* is how you keep your customers happy.
Meanwhile, I now have an extra copy of Halo 4 that I purchased at CostCo. If anyone’s interested, lemme know before I eBay it and we’ll work out a deal. (I’m lazy, so you’ve got time… days, probably.)
