A Dream Like Mine

  1. My son, the homebody

His grandparents are coming to pick him up for their annual New Years Eve tradition: getting a hotel room in downtown Tempe, then taking the grandkids to watch the fireworks. He’ll get to play with his cousins. You’d think he’d be excited.

In fact, any time we have to leave home, he gets his sad little whiny voice, “But I just want to stay here….” He wants to play on his computer or the XBox, or watch videos.

I’d like him to get out and run around and have fun. And he will have fun. He just doesn’t remember that he always has fun once he gets into whatever the event is.
